Concerto de minuit n°2 pour Buddha machine (06-03-2009)

Le bouddha Sâkyamuni méditait, la sixième semaine après l'Éveil, assis sous un arbre, au bord d'un lac. Un violent orage éclata et la pluie fit peu à peu monter dangereusement les eaux. Le cobra Mucilinda, le roi des nâgas, sortit du lac, enroula ses anneaux sous le corps du bouddha et déploya ses capuchons heptacéphales (à sept têtes) en éventail au-dessus de lui pour le protéger de la pluie durant tout le temps que dura l'orage. Le bouddha, perdu dans sa méditation, les yeux clos, resta dans cette position jusqu'à la fin de l'orage, ignorant du danger qui le guettait. [ voir sur Youtube.com ]

The Buddha made up the word Samadhi- Buddhist Meditation

In this snippet from a talk at Joshua Tree on 3-9-09 on the subject of the eightfold path (MN117), Bhante Vimalaramsi reveals some interesting information about the word Samadhi and its actual origin. It does not mean Absorption as defined by other teachers but a kind of "Collectedness" that the Buddha taught. He also discusses what the proper practice of this method leads to, which is the ultimate goal of experiencing Nibbana here and now. As he explains...this is possible in this lifetime. And here he talks about Sama (Tranquility)-dhi (Wisdom) (Tranquil-Wisdom) not Samathi (Sanskrit for absorption). Spiritual deception -- dynamic meditation - meditation or seizure ?

Meditation or seizure ? They do not pray, do not practice any kind of worship or even quiet meditation they are just - rolling around the floor in som seizure - like state. It looks to me like demonic posession though. [ voir sur Youtube.com ]
